Access is via stairs at the front of the building. The stairs are well lit and in good condition. Seven steps down, turn 90deg, then two more steps to gain access. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers. Advance notice is appreciated - email [email protected] or by phone on 0131 558 7272. General Access Info

Unfortunately The Stand Comedy Club in Glasgow is in the basement of a listed building, and there is a reasonably steep flight of 15 stairs down to the entrance. The staircase is approx. 4Ft wide and has handrails on both sides. The turning circle is 4ft x 4ft at the bottom of the stairs into the club. Once inside, the venue is all on one level, however please note that there is one step in both the ladies and gents toilets. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers. Advance notice is appreciated - email [email protected] or by phone on 0141 212 3389. Step-free information

Access to The Stand Comedy Club Newcastle is through our main entrance on High Bridge. The street has a footpath in fair condition and the road is cobbled. We have liaised with Newcastle City Council and installed a purpose-built fully accessible hydraulic lift to allow access to the venue. Customers wishing to access the lift will come through our cafe/bistro and into the courtyard where the lift is situated. This is covered by a weatherproof canopy ensuring that anyone using it is kept dry and comfortable. The lift is designed to hold two persons so if assistance is required it can be accommodated. The lift is an Artico 7000. Once downstairs we have a 1/12 ramp installed to allow customers who require wheelchair access to obtain their ticket from the box office and enter or exit the venue easily. Stand 1

Stand 1 is in a basement and access is by stairs at the front of the building from the pavement. Stairs are well lit and in good condition. Seven steps down, turn 90 degrees, then two more to gain access. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers. This venue has a mix of seating and standing room, if you are unable to stand for the show due to mobility issues, please get in touch with us in advance of the show at [email protected] and we can add a seating reservation to your booking.

Stand 2

Entry to the venue is via 16 North St. Andrew Street. Venue clearly signposted. Stand 2 access is by a flight and a half of very steep stairs up into the performance space. This venue is fully seated. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers.

Due to fire regulations we can only have one wheelchair user in the premises at any time.

Stand 3 & 4

Stand 3 & 4 are accessible from the pavement with steps leading to a courtyard. The venues are situated in the basement of the building. There are 15 steps in total with a 90 degree turn. Once inside the venue, Stand 4 is accessible on the flat with a right turn and Stand 3 has a further 3 steps. Both Stand 3 & 4 are fully seated. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers.

Stand 5 & 6

Various access routes through the hotel main entrance and service entrance at Dublin Street Lane. Stand 5 has two routes of entry however all involve some stairs. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers. Stand 6 is accessible for wheelchair users via service entrance on Dublin Street Lane South. 2 Wheelchair Spaces available per production. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers. Both Stand 5 & 6 are fully seated. Seating is level and unfixed within the venue spaces.
